In May 2025, Dongding Machinery delivered a 500 t/d coal slime rotary drying line to a coal-washing plant in Inner Mongolia, turning high-moisture filter cake into a marketable fuel for power generation.

Project Background

The client's coal-washing process leaves large volumes of coal slime at 35–40% moisture. Landfilling was costly, so the client required a compact, continuous drying system that could run around the clock.

Solution & Process

Our engineers supplied a single-pass rotary drum dryer with a breaking screw feeder and an energy-efficient hot-air furnace. Specially designed lifting plates keep the sticky slime dispersed and prevent ring formation inside the drum.

  • Breaking screw conveyor with anti-clog design

  • Single-pass rotary drum dryer with lifting plates

  • Energy-saving hot-air furnace with automatic temperature control

  • Cyclone and bag filter dust collection

Results & Benefits

The line runs at full capacity with final moisture below 10%, and the dried slime is now sold as fuel, recovering the client's investment within two years.
