Introduction of Potato Pulp Dewatering Machine

Potato Pulp Dewatering Machine

The Potato Pulp Dewatering Machine is a heavy-duty mechanical separator specifically designed for the starch processing and feed manufacturing industries. As a primary solution for handling potato residue (pulp), this equipment utilizes advanced spiral screw press technology to reduce the moisture content of wet pulp from over 80%-90% down to a manageable 60%-65%.

By effectively removing excess water, this machine transforms bulky, high-moisture waste into a compact, transportable byproduct. It not only significantly reduces waste disposal and transportation costs but also prepares the potato pulp for subsequent value-added processes such as animal feed production, organic fertilizer manufacturing, or industrial drying.

Advantages of Potato Pulp Dewatering Machine

01

High Efficiency

Powerful mechanical squeezing achieves lower moisture levels than traditional filters for immediate downstream processing.

02

Energy Saving

Uses a high-torque, low-speed drive, reducing energy costs by over 70% compared to thermal drying.

03

Long Service Life

Stainless steel (SUS304/316) construction with alloy-reinforced screw edges ensures a long, wear-resistant service life.

04

Full Automation

Designed for continuous operation with a self-cleaning screen to maintain high throughput without clogging.

05

Eco-Friendly

Minimizes waste volume and weight, significantly cutting transport costs and preventing environmental pollution

06

Multiple Choice

Single shaft and double shaft series for your selection.

Working Principle of Potato Pulp Dewatering Machine

Feeding Zone: The wet potato pulp enters the machine through the inlet hopper.

Compression Zone: The internal screw rotates at a controlled low speed. As the screw pitch decreases and the shaft diameter increases, the space between the screw and the screen is gradually reduced, creating a powerful mechanical squeeze.

Filtration Zone: The liquid is forced out through the fine openings of the stainless steel screen cage and collected in the lower drainage tray.

Pressure Regulation: At the discharge end, a specialized back-pressure device (pneumatic or spring-loaded) applies constant resistance against the exiting solids, ensuring maximum moisture extraction and consistency.

Discharge: The dewatered "cake" is discharged for easy collection or direct transport to a dryer.
