Introduction of Pulverized Coal-Fired Hot Air Furnace

The newly developed pulverized coal-fired hot air furnace (Patent No.: ZL 2013 2 0644837.0)utilizes dry-process collected pulverized coal or pulverized coal obtained after coal washing as fuel. Compared with conventional coal-fired hot air furnaces, it offers significantly higher thermal efficiency, with fuel cost reduced by approximately 20%–30%, thereby achieving the objective of lowering coal-washing and processing costs.

Advantages of Pulverized Coal-Fired Hot Air Furnace

01

High Efficiency, Low Fuel Cost

High flame temperature and complete combustion without slag formation; fuel costs are about 15–20% lower than conventional coal-fired furnaces.

02

Simple Operation

A compact, easy-to-operate system with automatic fuel combustion control.

03

Low Maintenance

Reduced wear and low maintenance costs.

04

Better Environmental Performance

Reduced dust emissions and lower ash content minimize product contamination and increase yield.

05

Fully Automated

Convenient ignition reaches the required hot-air temperature within 10 minutes of start-up, with excellent compatibility with drying systems.

06

Environmentally Friendly

Low nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions in the flue gas, with desulfurization efficiency up to 95%.

Working Principle of Pulverized Coal-Fired Hot Air Furnace

  • Coal preparation: Raw coal is crushed and ground into fine powder and stored for later use.

  • Auto ignition: First, the gas or oil igniter is started to raise the furnace temperature until coal is ready to catch fire.

  • Pulverized coal combustion: Primary air carries the coal powder and sprays it into the furnace. Secondary air enters in a swirl to mix with the powder. The coal burns in suspension, reaching a flame temperature of 1300–1500℃.

  • Heat exchange and hot air output: High-temperature flue gas passes through the heat exchange chamber and transfers heat to clean air, producing adjustable hot air at 100–300℃.

  • Flue gas discharge and dust removal: Cooled flue gas settles first, then goes through a dust collector and is discharged through the chimney.

  • Automatic control: Based on the hot air temperature, the system adjusts coal feed rate and air-to-fuel ratio automatically to ensure stable heating.
